When: Thursday September 7 (1 session), 10:00 – 12:00
Where: Anglican Church Hall, Dodgin Street Presenter: Mervyn Mitchell
This is definitely NOT the sort of maths you did at school. We’ll look at pieces of paper that only have one face and what happens when you cut them up, as well as ancient Greek notions of harmony, the breeding of medieval rabbits, the spiral of a nautilus shell, and the possible relationship between all of them. Plus, perhaps, a few conundrums, paradoxes and simple mathematical tricks.
Bring: Please bring scissors, a pencil, ruler and a glue stick if you have one.
Class Size: Maximum 20
